On Thu 1 Feb, The White Hotel presents an unmissable Q&A with legendary noughties prankster Tommy Dunn, whose groundbreaking audacity and obsessive visual documentation evolved into a singular art form and laid the foundation for the modern generation of social media miscreants.

Part of The White Hotel’s ART OF CRIME//CRIME OF ART series, the wildly entertaining career retrospective traces Dunn’s trajectory from budding hoaxer to the vanguard of an audiovisual revolution, cementing a peerless legacy of virtuosic nuisance and earning the title of ‘the best performance artist of his generation’ from Damien Hirst.

In 2002, Channel 4 ignited a public interest in Dunn’s life and work with the documentary ‘Britain’s Favourite Hoaxer’, a stranger-than-fiction comic masterpiece which brought Tommy newfound fame and reintroduced the Great British Prank into our collective imagination.
