The news earlier in the year that Vogue Fashion’s Big Night Out would be leaving London and heading to Manchester was met with some disappointment by the capital’s fashionistas – since 2009, they’d been living the high life for at least one night of the year, sipping free cocktails and enjoying high street discounts. Fashion-conscious Mancunians can rejoice further as more details are announced of the landmark evening’s big move to the rainy city on 10 October. Yet more stores – including American Apparel and Topshop as well as the likes of Burberry and Chanel – have confirmed their participant (full list below), and details of other events have just been announced: China Town will be hosting its own Asian-inspired catwalk (with a Cantonese banquet, too); Salford University takes over Exchange Square to exhibit their fashion students’ works; and a special commemorative tee goes on sale at £18 across the evening.
Thu 10 Oct, Manchester City Centre, FREE
