Described as a ‘mind-blowing theatrical experience’, Dark Noon brings a brutal reimagining of America’s roots to Aviva Studios this week.
Featuring a phenomenal South African cast, the production tears open the savagery of the Wild West myth – offering a fresh look at the birth of modern America, when 35 million impoverished Europeans arrived in search of a new life.
Told from the perspective of Native Americans, Chinese immigrants and African slaves, Dark Noon offers a stark interrogation of the often-romanticised tale of how the USA came to be.
The break-out hit of 2023’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival comes to Aviva Studios from Wed 6 Mar – Sun 10 Mar, before embarking on a four-week run in New York.
‘Incredibly exciting. One of the most ambitious and fearless pieces of theatre to be presented at the Edinburgh Fridge in the past decade’ – The Stage UK
‘Jaw-droppingly audacious, breathtakingly fearless’ – Arts Desk
