Work on a massive new padel club, which bosses say is the UK’s largest purpose-built padel facility in the UK, has officially been completed.
While the club’s first phase launched earlier this year, in partnership with Peel Waters, the completion of Phase 2 brings an additional five indoor courts to the facility, bringing the total number of courts up to 11. The club also features a popular clubhouse and outdoor social spaces, designed to foster community and connection beyond the court.
The Padel Club TraffordCity has been custom-designed from the ground up, with a £5.2 million investment by The Padel Club and architectural input from wellness design specialists Zync Design.
Padel has become the fastest-growing sport in the world. Globally, over 30 million people play Padel across 130+ countries, with Europe leading the charge. In the first half of 2025 alone, 132 international tournaments were held across 38 countries, and Padel-related digital engagement continues to soar. The Padel Club TraffordCity joins a growing network of clubs owned and operated by The Padel Club, including locations in Gloucester Quays Retail Park, Cheltenham, and Wilmslow.
