A handful of residents in Moss Side and surrounding areas have been transforming once messy ginnels into gorgeous green community spaces.
By using everyday items such as bathtubs, pallets, fridges and more, items that are often fly-tipped have been used to breathe new life into these areas for people to enjoy.
In the hope of inspiring others, the group will be hosting an ‘Open Alley’ day on Sun 2 Jun, during which all are invited to explore 10 of these revamped alleyways.
Maps will be available to purchase for £5 (accompanied under 16s go free) from 11am – 3pm at Platt Field Market Garden, with all proceeds going to support the work that the Manchester Urban Diggers.
