Despite having had the food bloggers of Manchester in a spin for quite some time now, the latest Bakerie project, Pie & Ale, still isn’t properly, officially open. As they’ve been ironing out the few creases they had, it’d been labelled a soft launch, despite people popping in daily to have a bite to eat and drink a few jars. Similarly, The Hive has been slowly filling out its spaces, so that its new Arcade space feels like it has been gradually evolving for the past year or so, rather than something ‘new’. Still, Pie & Ale and The Arcade (where it is located, funnily enough) are having a joint official opening party, with live music and DJs – as well a wide selection of ales, wine tasting and even some bread making. Details are still to be firmed up, but it’s a free, ticket only event, so it’d be worth registering yourself (and your plus one) sharpish.
