Local theatre favourites So La Flair are set to bring their latest party to the Old Abbey Taphouse this evening.
Combining cabaret, drag, art, music and ritual madness all cosied up under one chaotic roof, the Manchester-based indie theatre collective provides a safe and creative space that allows artistic freedom and encourages opportunities to create and collaborate.
Immersive Medieval Interactive Performers, Carnifølk – a queer community of creatives who host events across the UK – will be bringing their 1200s swagger to the party, followed by bandbandband who’ll be welcoming guests with gentle woodland music and Chappelle Roan covers.
After that, NQ Selecta Girlfriend will be blasting a load of girly pop UKG and maybe even a little bit of techno.
Notbadforagirlmcr and Steamradiomcr resident, Maracuya, will also take to the decks, bringing her signature energy and eclecticism, blending influences from around the world. She plays everything from dembow to breaks, jungle to kuduro, and everything in between.
Terry Bliss will bring home-brewed hyperactive bass and rounding off the night is Manchester-based dance music collective, Great Danes.
