As summer hits its stride, more day parties and Pride events stake their claim: check out our top picks of the best club events over the next few months.
It’s hard to imagine the Northern Quarter without Soup, or Soup Kitchen as it was once known. They’re celebrating 14 years since opening with local legend, Willow, on an extended license from 10pm-6am. Joining her in the basement is Parris, known for his cutting-edge ambient and electronica, collaborations with Call Super, and transcendent DJ sets. Support comes from mamba.exe, resident on local station, Crop Radio.
Back in their regular haunt, Room2Move return to their favourite Salford boozer, this time inviting Aiden Francis, who’s been churning out quality proggy house, trance and electro reppin’ 0161 for over 7 years now. Warming up and closing are residents Tom2trax and Liam Oliver.
If you’re celebrating Pride this August bank holiday, this open-air rave is a no brainer. With a capacity of 1000, high-end sound and an unbelievable array of DJs in the form of D. Tiffany, Gideön, Michelle Manetti and more, there’s sure to be plenty of energy in the house. We would say pray for good weather in this bleak summer, but there’s an indoor chill-out area so no need to pack the poncho. When you’re there, check out the name of the street the Yard is on.
Welsh duo, Overmono, impact on dance music is beginning to grow serious roots, as they step up to host their first-ever Warehouse Project. And while that is exciting enough in itself, things are made even more special by the presence of Skream + Benga, who play b2b at WHP for the first time since 2011. Also joining across 3 rooms and 11 hours are Sammy Virji, KI/KI and drum’n’bass veteran, Breakage.
