There’s a new comedy night at Joshua Brooks, Hootch continues to fly the flag for free midweek stand-up and Aussie shock comic Lewis Spears is in town.
If free comedy is your bag, but you want to wait one day close to the weekend then Hootch Comedy Club has you covered at 33 Oldham Street. Manchester’s comedy scene has never been stronger and nights such as Hootch are a testament to this, blending new stuff from more established acts with the hottest fresh comics on the circuit. And there’s 2 cocktails for a tenner. Can’t say fairer than that.
Australian shock comic Lewis Spears is back after two jaw surgeries with the same outlook on life. That everything should be fair game for jokes. The viral star has had to add an extra Manchester show at Creatures due to demand and this later instalment will no doubt find the unapologetic Spears in looser more vitriolic form.
