Nina Gilligan headlines XS Malarkey, nostalgia fans are in luck with Knightmare Live and Title Fight is back at GRUB.
Manchester’s most inventive comedy night returns as Title Fight is back after a short summer break. The show that pits comedians and performers against one another to create something original has gathered a cult following in its short existence this year and always entertains and surprises. Performers are paired up and then asked to create a show based on the ‘title’ chosen by their opponent and the audience decides a winner at the end. Fun for all.
With the return of Oasis comes a wave of 90s nostalgia, and riding on the crest of that is the team behind Knightmare Live, a comedy reimagining of the classic kids TV show that threatened to abandon its competitors in a virtual reality dungeon. Celebrating their 10th anniversary the tour hits Fairfield Social Club this Saturday looking for new brave adventures willing to take on the dungeon master’s trials. The most fun you can have at a comedy show.

After a successful stint at the Edinburgh Fringe with new show Goldfish, Nina Gilligan returns to her old stomping ground of Manchester to headline XS Malarkey. Deadpan comedy doesn’t come more dead on that with Gilligan and she’s got Northern drollness down to an absolute artform. Alongside the always delightful Toby Hadoke as host, you’ll find rising Mancunian star Molly McGuinness.
