Edinburgh favourite Garry Starr comes to The Lowry after another successful Fringe, Andy Field headlines XS Malarkey and there are more Roast Battles at The Frog.
Manchester’s Roast Battle League meet for their September contest at The Frog & Bucket on Wednesday evening, pitting the best of Manchester’s comedy scene against each other. The likes of Jordan Ducharme, Mekkin Roff, Anabelle Devey and more will be pitting their wits and best barbs on the Frog stage to see who reigns as the most verbally versatile and ferocious with their insults.
Following sell-out seasons for previous shows in London, Edinburgh, Melbourne and Adelaide, multi-award-winning idiot Garry Starr returns with another comedic masterclass that turned the heads of critics and audiences alike at this year’s Fringe. This new show takes a look at the world of literature and particularly all of Penguin Classic Novels’ output over the years. No mean feat and delivered with Starr’s trademark anarchic style.

An inventive wordsmith with a wonderful slacker attitude to comedy Andy Field is a joy to watch live. Part of that joy comes from the fact that Field primarily seems to be keen on making himself laugh and an audience is an added bonus. Thankfully he’s also a very funny lad. Go and see him at XS Malarkey. You won’t regret it.
