After its acclaimed sell-out run last summer, LIZZIE The Musical returns to Hope Mill Theatre for a limited string of dates this autumn.

Now boasting a seemingly endless list of accolades, including eight Best Musical Awards, LIZZIE has toured all over the world, gracing stages in over 60 cities, six countries and five languages.

Back for a four-week stint from Thu 17 Oct – Sun 17 Nov, the show explores the life of Lizzie Borden. Accused of murdering her father and stepmother with an axe in the summer of 1892, the production delves into her complex psyche, speculating on the motivations that may have driven her: loss of inheritance, history of sexual abuse, oppression, and madness.

Described as a true crime rock musical, the infamous story is brought to life by an all-female band, including Lizzie’s older sister Emma, maid Bridget and neighbour Alice.

A special Halloween Gala evening will also be happening as part of the show’s latest run. On Thu 31 Oct, there’ll be a one-off concert sing-along version of the production with the entire cast. Afterwards, everyone is invited to a post-show party complete with a local female DJ, welcome drinks and an exclusive goodie bag with a unique piece of LIZZIE merchandise — all of which is included in the ticket price.
