A pop-up charity print shop is coming to Seven Brothers Crafthouse this month, raising money for Humans MCR, a local charity committed to tackling food poverty in Greater Manchester.

Back for its 13th year, the Little Print Shop of Horrors, from the Creative Spark team, hones in on the theme of ‘If Words Could Kill’. Each participating artist was challenged to take an iconic or lesser-known quote from horror films or TV shows and reimagine it in their own style.

Inspired by these lines and phrases, each poster blurs the lines between typography and graphic design. In total, 14 artists, some of which are Manchester-based, others from across the globe, will be creating pieces to support the charity.

Since its inception, the Little Print Shop of Horrors has raised over £20,000 for local causes, growing into a highly anticipated event on Manchester’s cultural calendar.

This year, the fundraiser hopes to surpass last year’s record contributions to Humans MCR, which works tirelessly to provide respect, health, dignity, and hope to those facing food insecurity in the region.

Neil Marra, Managing and Creative Director of Creative Spark, said: “Creative Spark is really excited to celebrate the 13th year of our Little Print Shop of Horrors! This annual poster shop has a clear mission: to raise funds for Humans MCR.

“We’re supporting them for the second year running due to the critical work they do, especially at a time when families are facing increased pressure to cover even the most basic needs. With more illustrators involved and a bigger event planned, we’re aiming to make this our most successful year yet!”

Humans MCR is a Manchester-based charity focused on alleviating food poverty across the region. They work closely with local communities to ensure that those in need can access healthy, nutritious food while maintaining dignity and respect. As the cost of living continues to rise, particularly through the winter months, their mission has never been more vital.

You can browse and purchase all of the artworks online here, and the Little Shop of Horrors print fair will be taking place on Thu 24 Oct.
