Returning for another year with its biggest instalment yet, Manchester Art Fair has revealed its expansive full programme for 2024. This year’s festival is set to feature a uniquely diverse mix of acclaimed galleries and independent artists alongside a sprawling schedule of talks, panel discussions, workshops and more at Manchester Central from Fri 15 to Sun 17 Nov.

Since launching in 2008, the North West’s definitive creative showcase has become one of Britain’s foremost art fairs, earning global acclaim and an ever-growing attendance built on a guiding ethos of inclusivity, Northern pride and a refreshingly unpretentious art-buying experience.

Throughout the weekend, an assemblage of decorated artistic luminaries host an eclectic schedule of talks, panels and conversations, sharing their boundless knowledge and the intricate details behind their creative processes. Speakers include celebrated figurative artist Mark Demsteader, innovative photographer Scarlet Page, The Whitworth’s Dominic Bilton and women artists from esea contemporary and Liverpool Biennial. Elsewhere, four esteemed writers appear in-person for individual book signings. Alongside Moorlands artist Mark Demsteader, Andy Spinoza (Manchester Unspun), Gemma Rolls-Bentley (Queer Art) and legendary local DJ Dave Haslam (Adventure Everywhere: Pablo Picasso’s Paris Nightlife) will be on hand to expound on their groundbreaking works and sign copies for attendees. See the schedule HERE.

Running across two sessions on both the Saturday and Sunday, Hot Bed Press bring their unique flare for printmaking to Manchester Art Fair with live, original demonstrations curated to illuminate the wondrous art of printing and the multifarious approaches to the form.

Located in Central 6, just off the main entrance, the Art Classroom invites visitors to take part in a variety of interactive workshops, with a selection of 45-minute classes spanning oil painting, abstract art and self-expressive still life drawings available on a first-come-first-seated basis across both days of the festival.

For visitors with younger budding artists, Cass Art Manchester host a schedule of free family-friendly activities in the foyer cafe.

As always, the Manchester Central Cafe will be serving an array of food and drink throughout the fair, while the Art Bar provides a welcome sanctuary where visitors can ponder their next purchase over an enlivening tipple.

Saturday/Sunday tickets are £12+booking fee and include entry to all the talks and workshops.
