It’s Halloween this week and there are plenty of goings on in and around the city to celebrate the height of spooky season in style.

And, to help your wallet out, we’ve rounded up a handful of cracking things to do in and around the city that won’t set you back a single penny.

From Beavertown parties over at Wilson’s Social to jazz-fuelled evening at Matt and Phreds – here’s our rundown of the best free things happening in Manchester this week…

Sekoya | Matt and Phreds | Wed 30 Oct | 6pm - 11pm

Swing by the Northern Quarter’s favourite jazz bar to catch Sekoya, an original Glasgow/Edinburgh based contemporary jazz trio, take to the stage following the release of their debut album, Shuna.

Blending European harmony with American jazz all while a vibrant Celtic-inspired piano runs throughout – this is sure to be a great post-work chiller of an evening.
