An after-hours evening of art, culture and entertainment comes to Manchester Art Gallery this November.

As part of the late-night programme, the museum will be unveiling Florence Claxton’s remarkable 1861 painting, Woman’s Work: A Medley to the Gallery.

Described as a powerful, timely piece, the work ‘challenges viewers to reflect on the progress and persistent inequalities in women’s roles across society’.

Black Wall Artists will also be curating a lineup of contemporary performances, while the RNCM Community Chorus will be delivering festive performances throughout the night.

Elsewhere, Members of the Manchester Jewellers Network will take over the gallery shop, there’ll be an opportunity to hone your creative skills as Life Drawing With Hop and MAG Film Club will be hosting film screenings.
