One of Manchester’s longest-running pottery studios celebrates moving into its new home with a special exhibition and ceramics market this December.

Seven Limes has been delivering pottery classes in Manchester for more than 25 years, the last 18 of which have been spent in the team’s long-term home in Moss Side.

They’re now moving into a larger studio, transforming an Ardwick railway arch located just a 10-minute walk from Piccadilly Station. To mark the occasion, on Fri 6 Dec & Sat 7 Dec, Seven Limes will be opening the new space to the public, showcasing a range of creations and hosting a ceramics market, perfect for anyone wanting to pick up a unique Christmas gift.

The studio was founded by Wendy Andrew, who trained under renowned potters Emmanuel Cooper and Mo Jupp. Since then, she’s built up more than 40 years of experience teaching ceramics in the community at schools, colleges, and adult education centres.

Wendy has now been joined by her son, Sam Andrew, who has been honing his craft under the guidance of his mother from a young age, and who has sold work in design stores from New York to Tokyo.

Along with the opening of their new space, the team have also announced their latest batch of pottery classes, with courses available for all levels from complete novices through to seasoned potters. Workshops range from one-off taster sessions, the next of which will be happening on Sun 8 Dec, to more in-depth six-week beginner courses.

You can find more information and a full timetable of Seven Limes Manchester pottery classes here. Seven Limes’ opening exhibition and sale will happening on Fri 6 Dec (5.30pm – 8pm) & Sat 7 Dec (10am – 4pm).
