Ania Magliano is at The Lowry, Harriet Dyer is at Clubhouse Comedy and Toby Hadoke is back with new material at Testing Testing.
Nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe and owner of the worst culinary taste in comedy (do listen to her Off Menu episode if you doubt the veracity of this claim), Ania Magliano is back with her second show entitled Forgive Me Father which is more oversharing from a frazzled member of gen Z. Magliano claims to be that random girl that interrupts your night out whilst you’re in the girls’ loo but the writing is impeccably tight on this well planned show.
Toby Hadoke puts in a double shift this week at 53Two as he follows what will surely be another great night of XS Malarkey on the Tuesday (now with added Sean McLoughlin) with another instalment of new material night Testing Testing on Sunday. A laid-back night of brand new stuff from Toby and some of his very funny friends, and after 25 years or so of running Manchester’s favourite comedy club he’s made a few, is the perfect way to end your week.

A great cry was let out when Jordan Ducharme’s popular night of free comedy Jokes at The Oakes went up in smokes last year. But thankfully Jordan joined forces with Charlie Lewis to start Comedy Clubhouse at Joshua Brooks and things seem to be going swimmingly with excellent bills and the same ridiculously low price. This week sees Harriet Dyer as the big name on the lineup but it’s always worth paying attention to the lesser known acts. They’ll be higher up the pecking order soon enough.
