This Sun 9 Feb, Super Bowl LIX sees the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in a repeat of last year’s blockbuster American football spectacle.
Thankfully, some of the city’s best bars and events spaces are leaving the lights on until Monday morning to ensure Manchester’s die-hard NFL fans can bask in all the gridiron glory on the big screen.
Here are the best places to watch the Super Bowl in Manchester.
This year, the beloved Red Bank street food venue GRUB is hosting a Super Bowl watch party in its cosy CULTPLEX cinema.
Watch the big game in a relaxed and friendly environment with special big screen entertainment from 9pm, a selection of house drinks included with entry and a special menu from Oscar’s Dogs from 9-11pm.
If you’re after a watch party in South Manchester, Sale’s Social Kitchen outpost Block and Gasket offers an assortment of pre-booked packages to enjoy the showdown on colossal HD screens with surround sound, as well as wings by the kilo, 2-4-1 drinks, jager bowls and double vodka and pink red bulls to keep the energy high until 3am.
The same goes for Social’s city centre haunt, Tank and Paddle, where you can enjoy all the same food, drinks, packages and immersive excitement in the heart of The Printworks.
Over at indie Northern Quarter sports bar Shack, fans can revel in every touchdown, play action and Kendrick classic with seventeen screens, private TV booths and extended kitchen service across three specially decorated spaces.
Packages range from single entry to six-seater booths with your own screen.
Alongside their immensely popular Soulful Sunday live music bar session, Blues Kitchen will screen the full game on a big screen, complete with K-Dot’s half-time performance, with pre-kick-off proceedings getting underway at 9pm.
Tables are available for groups of up to ten people, and the kitchen and bar will both remain open until the early hours serving buffalo wings, burgers, ribs, beer and cocktails.
Walk-ins are strongly advised to arrive by 10.30pm to secure a good view.
