The Charlatans have announced an outdoor show at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl this summer.
The West Midlands alt-rock icons will perform Thu 3 Jul, with an impressive support bill featuring Embrace and The Coral.
They’re the latest act to be announced for the annual Sounds of the City shows at Castlefield. Other confirmed names for this year include The Black Keys, Elbow, Bloc Party, Rizzle Kicks, Shed Seven, Basement Jaxx and Hacienda Classical.
It’s been ten years since The Charlatans last performed at the venue. Speaking about the announcement, frontman Tim Burgess said: “Castlefield Bowl is such a brilliant venue. Our previous show there was one of my favourite Charlatans gigs ever, so we can’t wait to play again in July.”
Tickets for The Charlatans at Castlefield Bowl will go on sale Fri 28 Feb at 10am.
