This weekend, a free, family-friendly festival takes over Eccles Recreation Centre with a day of entertainment and activities.
Throughout the event, there’ll be a funfair, face painting, balloon modelling, demonstration rugby, bowling, tennis and wheelchair bachata.
There’ll also be Lego sessions, health advice, tattoo art, vintage police vehicles, a variety of community stalls, and Eccles Leisure Centre will be hosting £1 swims.
Eccles Festival is part of Salford City Council and From The Other’s ‘Sounds ‘Round Town, which has returned to Salford’s neighbourhoods this summer with a programme of music, art, workshops, and parades.
Sounds ‘Round Town will be doing what they do best by leading a parade and blasting out the tunes from their mobile DJ SRT Bike, there will also be a full music programme by From the Other including Levi Love and Zola Steelpan with more to be announced very soon, while Walk The Plank will be delivering a craft based workshop for all age groups.
Eccles Festival will be happening on Sat 26 Jul from 10am – 4pm.
