Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter will celebrate the launch of its revamped public square this month with a huge street party.
Happening on Sat 31 Aug, the space will be filled with live music and DJs, with performances and slots coming from Latino Jazz group Sam Q’s Night Patrol, high energy indie-pop band Parlaiz, local singer-songwriter Imogen Paige and Happy Radio DJ Darren Proctor.
Cbeebies favourite Bluey will also be making special guest appearances from 3.15PM – 3.30PM and 4.15PM – 4.30PM with interactive singing and dancing for all the family to enjoy.
Lane7 will be hosting pop-up games, giveaways and their own ice cream van, there’ll be face painting and glitter stands hosted by Happy Radio, chicldren’s colouring workshops with Boots and back-to-school craft sessions with Sostrene Grene.
Pop-up food traders will also be on-site for the duration of the street party, serving up an array of globally inspired street food dishes.
Later on, from 6pm-8pm, Nell’s will be joining the party, providing entertainment via their resident DJ ahead of the restaurant’s arrival in Altrincham later this year.
Celebrations will kick off at 12pm. Entry to the street party is completely free.
