A bustling, gaming-inspired marketplace from the team behind the much-loved MCR Geek Fayre is coming to the Northern Quarter this month.
Hosted by gaming events veterans, Dungeons & Flagons, the MEGA MCR Geek Fayre will take over Sachas Hotel on Sat 21 Jun.
Featuring more than 80 tables of independent traders, the MEGA MCR Geek Fayre promises the team’s biggest and boldest celebration of nerd culture to date. Visitors can expect everything from handmade art, board games and TTRPGs to geeky fashion, jewellery, collectables, and rare finds.
“The response to our Geek Fayres has been amazing, and we knew it was time to expand,” says James Oxley, organiser and founder of Dungeons & Flagons Events. “With over 80 stalls, our first MEGA edition is set to be a highlight of Manchester’s geek calendar.”
Whether you’re searching for D&D dice and miniatures to retro games, enamel pins and fandom-inspired prints, the market promises to offer something for any and all tastes.
The event will also include a dedicated Quiet Hour from 4pm – 5pm for those who would prefer a more sensory-friendly experience. During this time, music will be turned off, and entry will be limited to help create a calmer shopping environment.
Entry to the MEGA MCR Geek Fayre is £2pp (£1 with student ID / under 16s go free with a paying adult) and can be paid on the door. The market will be open from 11am – 5pm. Keep an eye on the Geek Fayre Instagram for updates and trader information.
