A festive late-night market filled with independent traders is coming to Fairfield Social Club next weekend.

The Night Market UK returns to the city on Sat 7 Dec. Running from 4pm – 11pm, visitors can enjoy an entire evening of seasonal shopping, delicious street food and live DJs.

With more than 50 local artisan makers, bakers and shakers joining, the event offers an excellent opportunity to peruse and purchase a selection of unique gifts curated from the very best Manchester has to offer.

Becc Sanderson, The Night Market UK Founder and Creative Director said “We’re excited to return to this fantastic space in Manchester with an alternative Christmas showcase. Embrace the unconventional, let’s connect with friends to celebrate the season, what better reason to shop, snack and sip the night away.

“Not to mention hanging out with some of the amazing creative folks at the heart of this new neighbourhood. We have fallen for this venue in a big way and can’t wait to welcome you back for the last event of the season and share what’s in store for next year.”

Becc added “This year, the doors will open two hours earlier to allow for even more shopping, socialising and snacking! Treat yourself to tasty street food from Killa Carbs or FSC Garden Kitchen. Or get cosy by the new garden campfire with toasted marshmallow and s’mores kits, hot spiced tipples plus festive cakes and more sweet treats from Mary’s Cakery Makery. Christmas shopping is hungry work after all!”

The night’s soundtrack comes courtesy of Eve’s Drop Collective, who’ll be spinning deep house, disco, soul and funk, Andrea (Trout) Ahimie-Carthy takes over the club space and Lil’ Minx will be keeping attendees on their toes with an eclectic set that draws on all corners of the genre spectrum.

Trader Megan Towndrow, founder of Dapper Alice, said “As a trader I have grown to enjoy the event so much and I now trade with them all over the UK. I love the sense of community amongst the traders and the like-minded & supportive customers it attracts. As consumers we are all becoming so much more aware of the importance of how we spend our money and the Night Market is a fine example of this.

Rhiannon Payne, creator of Amber and Orange added, “What truly distinguishes The Night Market UK is its ability to create a one-of-a-kind experience. The vibe of each event is unmatched, and we walk away every time with such a buzz, eagerly anticipating the next one. This unique atmosphere is a testament to the hard work and determination of their incredible team, making it by far one of the best markets across the UK.”

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased in hourly time slots — though guests are welcome to stay as little or as long as they like. A Two Ticket special for £7 is available to those who book online. Full price tickets are £4, concessions £3.50. Tickets will be available on the door, though advanced booking is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
