A new food hall is set to open in the former home of Debenhams along Manchester’s Market Street.

Spread over 14,200 sq ft in the famous Rylands building, Market Place Manchester will be filled with 14 independent global street food traders, along with DJs, pool tables, cocktails on tap and free soft serve from midday to midnight.

It’s the fifth venue for London-born Market Place, with other locations in Peckham, Vauxhall, Harrow and St Paul’s, and this the first outside of the capital.

Blake Henderson, Managing Director of Market Place said: “We’ve had our eye on Manchester for a long time. It’s a city that thrives on creativity, culture and community, which is exactly what we’re all about.

“Our goal has always been to create inclusive, high-energy spaces that celebrate independent food vendors. This opening is just the beginning of our Northern journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to get started in the capital of the North.”
