Renowned Manchester chef Iain Devine, known also as Drunken Butcher, sets up camp in Kosmonaut for a supper club with a difference, as he serves up a slice of the movies. But unlike the kale chips and quinoa more often associated with Hollywood’s inhabitants, he’s taken inspiration from gutsier sources including Silence of the Lambs, James Bond and Pulp Fiction. Accordingly, the night promises big, punchy flavours from courses such as Liver and Fava Beans (good with a nice Chianti, we’re told), Pasta and Sunday Gravy fit to feed any Sicilian gangster and White Russian Ice Cream – no clues for guessing this one. Opt into drink pairing on the night for an extra £18, which has been designed by the booze buffs of Kosmonaut.
Tue 31 Mar, Kosmonaut, 10 Tariff Street, M1 2FF, 7 – 11pm, £22 (£18 extra for drink pairing), www.eventbrite.co.uk
