If courting the liquid form of a blonde is your thing then Hangingditch’s Blondes, Trappists and Lambics: A Night of Belgian Beer may be just the thing for you this June. Expect a series of tastings that anticipate a little more than using your nose as a funnel for the entire night, with seven Belgian beers to sample, as well as an English beer for hearty comparison. With an exploration of the rich history and culture of Belgium’s national drink, and finally an answer to that peskiest of pesky questions – why do monks brew such damn good beer? – this promises to be a night filled with the kind of debauchery that can only be found sampling beers you can’t pronounce. Foam Moustache not included.
