Manchester Literature Festival has announced that it will welcome Bernie Sanders for a special in-conversation evening with award-winning author and broadcaster, Gary Younge.

In this incredibly special live event, which will be happening at HOME on the rescheduled date of Sun 18 Feb, Senator Bernie Sanders will present his vision of what would be possible if the political revolution took place.

The longest-serving Independent member of Congress in American history, and a leading voice for progressive change, Sanders’ priorities include leading the fight for free healthcare, combatting climate change and building a movement to transform the economy into one that works for all.

All of this is discussed in Sanders’ new book and New York Times and Sunday Times bestseller, It’s Ok to be Angry about Capitalism, which will spark discussion points for the evening.

Sanders will be joined by Gary Younge, winner of the 2023 Orwell Prize for Journalism, whose acclaimed books include Another Day in the Death of America; The Speech, The Story Behind Martin Luther King’s Dream and Dispatches From the Diaspora, From Nelson Mandela to Black Lives Matter.
