A sweeping vintage fair is set to take over Stockport Market Hall this June.
On Sunday 15 Jun, the hall will be filled with vintage stalls selling clothing, accessories, jewellery, homeware, ceramics, artwork, antiques & collectibles, vinyl records and more.
Fair goers will also have access to a free vintage styling zone where they can try on outfits and accessories from different decades courtesy of Stumberlina Vintage
The Vintage Beauty Parlour will be open for hair styling and makeovers and there will even be a vintage bus offering free rides around Stockport Town Centre.
Outside the market hall there will be live music from The Villanelles, an all-female vocal harmony group who give a modern twist to old time tunes, plus classic cars and scooters, and from 2pm – 3pm, Revolution Dance will be jiving away, and hosting a free dance class.
So Retro Events and The Vintage Village have joined forces for the special event. The Vintage Village is a vintage and collectibles fair, first founded by Alan Lowe at Stockport Market Hall in 2010, and is now a regular event on the vintage calendar.
So Retro Events founder Michelle Barratt says of the collaboration: “I used to attend The Vintage Village as a customer,
“I love what Alan has created and it inspired me to start So Retro, so it’s fantastic that we can now work together and create a huge celebration of vintage at the incredible building that is Stockport Market Hall.”
The fair will run from 10am – 4pm. Tickets are £3 and include entry to the fair, styling zone and vintage bus ride.
