A winter wonderland and festive cinema is coming to Jodrell Bank this Christmas

Jodrell Bank will be transformed into a festive utopia this Christmas, complete with festive light shows, magical films and Christmas shopping.

Packed with activities and entertainment for the whole family, the venue’s Winter of Wonder programme will run from Tue 17 Dec – Fri 20 Dec.

Guests can marvel at Jodrell’s new science show, Starlight Spectacular, and wander through the canopy of starlight – an illuminated walkway guiding visitors to the iconic telescope.

The exclusive Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition will be on display throughout the festive period, showcasing award-winning images of distant nebulas, planets, and galaxies that capture the awe of the cosmos.

Children can join the fun of the astronaut dress-up and creative Christmas crafts, and enjoy special screenings of the beloved classic The Snowman in Jodrell’s Space Dome.

Also new for 2024, Jodrell Bank’s Festive Cinema will bring a lineup of beloved Christmas classics to the space dome. Open from Sat 7 Dec – Tue 31 Dec, there will be 15 flicks to choose from, ranging from Elf and Muppet Christmas Carol to Love Actually, Die Hard and The Holiday.
