Comedian, director and writer Adam Buxton takes his music video showcase BUG back on the road, arriving back in Manchester for two nights in May. Leaving the BFI Southbank to bring his Best of BUG show, Wednesday (15 May) sees the usual mix of awesome music videos, fantastic online content (some of them made by Adam himself), and a unique brand of ‘sit-down’ comedy. The second night in residence at RNCM (Thu 16 May) is a special tribute music video pioneers and Buxton collaborators (the dizzy but arresting Jigsaw Falling Into Place), Radiohead. This night promises a collection of the work the band have done with directors such as Jonathan Glazer, Grant Gee, Garth Jennings and some rarities never seen on screen before. What’s more, Buxton has revealed on Twitter that Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood will join him on stage. Buxton describes the night as ‘like going round to a friend’s house and having him open up his laptop and show you interesting and amusing things he’s found or made, except not as tedious and sh*t as that sounds.’ With a host like Buxton, that doesn’t sound sh*t at all.
