Affinity Living welcomes Spinningfields’ biggest art event

This weekend, city centre apartment brand Affinity Living launches Spinningfields’ largest dedicated art event, Art With Affinity, in collaboration with art event specialists Cotton On MCR.

The event will take place on Sun 18 Jun between 12pm-4.30pm, taking over the whole Affinity Living neighbourhood with portrait artists, interactive creations and a sprawling specialist art fair at Riverside, Riverview and Embankment West.

Art With Affinity is completely free and open to the public, and has been built as a celebration of Manchester’s flourishing art scene.

There will be more than 25 of Manchester’s best indie and local artists selling a wide variety of artisanal and small-batch artwork, prints, paintings, ceramics, jewellery, textiles and more.

Along with the fair, there will be a range of activities taking place including a live interactive artist, who will be creating a real-time masterpiece, inviting guests to add to the unique designs created over the space of three 45-minute sets.  Three of the nine pieces created during this will later be given away as part of a competition.

A portrait artist will be working at Embankment West, creating five-minute portrait sketches of attendees for them to take home, while a time-pressured ‘One Minute Brief’ workshop will be taking place at Riverview, with guests being given ‘quick and whacky’ guidelines to create a one-minute masterpiece.
