The founder of Almost Famous, one of Manchester’s best-loved dirty burger joints, has unveiled plans to open a brand new smash burger concept venue in the heart of the Northern Quarter, with the official opening slated for the end of summer.

Located at the former Lono Cove bar site on Thomas Street, SuperAwesomeDeluxe will serve irresistibly indulgent smash burgers in a fast order takeaway style, with limited daily numbers in order to preserve quality.

Beau Myers, founder of Almost Famous and the brain behind the Northern Quarter’s new smash patty concept spot, has been working with renowned butcher Lee Frost to develop ‘the best burger [he’s] ever made’.

Myers is set to launch a crowdfunding campaign to raise a further £50,000 to augment their investment, with a view to kickstart his venture in the coming weeks. Supporters will be eligible for a variety of ‘rewards’ as well as having the chance to be one of the first to sample SuperAwesomeDeluxe’s delectable fare.

Speaking on X, Myers said: “It was born in lockdown – it was actually ironically going to be called SAD burger and be a pop up only there for a week – but it’s so damn good it needs to stay forever.

“It will be the best burger you’ve ever tasted.

SuperAwesomeDeluxe is due to open later this summer.
