The Lowry launches the fourth in its EDIT series of Gallery residencies, installations and interruptions; this spring’s, Live Creations, is presented by London-based artist and choreographer Joe Moran. Actually an exhibition in evolution, EDIT.04 will see The Lowry Galleries gradually transformed, culminating in the presentation of a new piece on Saturday 13 April. This work in progress will draw on Moran’s multiple experiences as a dancer, choreographer, curator and visual artist, and the space will be used as a kind of open studio before its final transformation. The latter of his professional ‘hats’ will be in evidence from the word go via a film installation – Here and Not, created in collaboration with Sam Williams – and spray paint wall pieces. On the performance art front, Moran will be choreographing a new piece with a small team of dancers – you will be able to see them developing Before We Are Dead on Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 March and Monday 1 April + Thursday to Sunday 7 April.
