Taking place in the event space of the National Trust’s breathtaking new Castlefield Viaduct Skypark on Thu 16 Feb, The Slow Readers Club one-off preview listening party for their upcoming album, Knowledge Freedom Power, will feature Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham as the special guest.

Hosted by BBC Radio 6’s Chris Hawkins, the highly exclusive event will explore the story behind the new album, as The Slow Readers Club are joined on stage by Burnham, himself an avid fan, for a full playthrough of every song. Hosted by BBC Radio 6’s Chris Hawkins, the highly exclusive event is open to selected press and 20 competition winners who will have the opportunity to ask the band, Andy and Chris about the record in a Q&A session after the preview ends.

Fans can enter the competition by pre-ordering the album from the band’s online store.

In order to raise charitable funds and to commemorate the occasion, the band will also create a limited-run TSRC X Castlefield Viaduct t-shirt, which will be available both at the listening party and on the online store, with all profits foin the National Trust’s Castlefield Viaduct fund, in support of ‘a greener future for Castlefield Viaduct’ and the maintenance of a vibrant, sustainable community destination for Mancunians.
