Anna Beam’s geometric paintings are now on show at North Tea Power. Exhibited in a coffee shop rather than traditional gallery, the simple white walls and oak panels suit the work of this young talent, originally from Baltimore, now resident in Manchester. Composed over many, concentrated hours and influenced by the natural world, patterns that bring to mind fractals, brain-scans and leaf veins are transported to the digital age by bright pastels and geometric forms. One to watch, we think, not least for the gentle absorption her work affords the viewer.
