Tickets are now available for Islington Mill’s Heritage Open Day, celebrating the past and future of one of Salford’s most loved creative hubs. Taking place on Thursday 22 April, this free event will take viewers behind the scenes of the venue via a film screening, an interactive Q&A session and even virtual tours of the Mill’s key spaces streamed live on Instagram.

In its first public airing, From Industry To Art invites audiences on a whistle-stop tour of Islington Mill’s extensive history – from its origins as a Northern cotton spinning mill in 1823, to its current value as a vibrant melting pot of creativity. Having already gathered glowing reviews from private screenings, this short film also chronicles the creation of the Islington Mill Arts Club and will be followed by an interactive Q&A session where viewers can quiz a soon-to-be-revealed panel about all aspects of the Mill’s historical and creative journey.

Finally, to round out the day, the venue’s social media team will be on-hand to take you on a virtual tour of some of Islington Mill’s key spaces, streamed live over Instagram. To find out more and to book your free tickets to the open day’s film screening and Q&A session, simply head to the venue’s Eventbrite page.
