Having created a huge buzz in London for the past three years, ARTCRANK finally makes its way up to the home of British Cycling in July, as the event makes its Manchester debut at 2022NQ. Combining the most accessible form of getting around with the most accessible form of art, ARTCRANK is a unique show of limited-edition bicycle-inspired posters that gives local artists the chance to share their work. After making its debut in Minneapolis back in 2007, word of the poster party swiftly spread to the likes of San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and London, exhibiting work by artists in the host city. Now premiering in Manchester, local creative agency Retrofuzz will be showcasing its talent alongside that of 25 artists, while Lezyne will be on hand with biking gear and Colorplan Papers offers live screen-printing throughout the evening. With each hand-made poster being priced at just £30, it’s a perfectly affordable fusion of these two forms of creative expression. Plus a portion of proceeds go to non-profit organisation Simply Cycling, who host drop-by events at Longford and Wythenshawe parks every weekend.
