The revitalisation of the Spinningfields area continues apace with Living Ventures latest venture, Artisan. The people behind Australasia, The Alchemist and The Oast House bring casual dining back to basics. In what sounds like the best possible way. Two wood ovens will flame meat, fish and unusual pizzas as meals are prepared before your eyes using fresh ingredients cast into the fire. This is primal dining. Located on the first floor of Avenue North in Spinningfields in an artist loft meets concrete warehouse, the semi industrial space will, perhaps, lend a handcrafted sensibility to an area mostly associated with business custom and chain restaurants. This extends to the drinks menus which, as with most Living Venture sites, is set to offer a collection of innovative cocktails, alongside fine wines, spirits and continental beers.
