Ate Days A Week, the music-themed pie and sandwich shop which has become the stuff of legend in Stockport has arrived in the city centre.

While there’s still a couple of weeks before the 36-cover upstairs restaurant opens up, the counter is now in business for takeaways and deliveries close to Albert Square, in the space once occupied by Porky Pig.

The menu continues on with the ever-popular and award-winning pies, sandwiches and fish and chips, though Sunday roasts will be added as an option on the weekends.

However, the original spot, a former chip shop on Vernon Street in Stockport, has unfortunately closed to accommodate the move. Taking to Instagram, the restaurant explained how the last year had led to the difficult decision, though a new venue in the city would allow them to continue their exciting journey.

Notion, a dive bar which uses the space above the original Ate Days A Week, will remain open after the big move.
