If you haven’t been to this top class night yet, here’s your chance. Fab line ups are often claimed by comedy clubs, but Group Therapy consistently offers a real connoisseur’s line up. This month there’s acclaimed Norwegian comic Daniel Simonsen. He’s one of many great Scandinavian comedians gracing these shores and nabbed the Fosters Best Newcomer award at Edinburgh Fringe last year. Check him out here. Holly Walsh is a personable presence who can twist an audience around her proverbial pinkie and has a raft of writing and TV credits. Pippa Evans’ alter egos make you worry for her sanity but they are fantastically realised and above all achingly funny. Then there’s another prolific writer and gigger, Northern Irish comic Michael Legge, creator of both the birth and death of Gregg Jevin, the greatest comedian never to have existed.
Sat 23 Feb, Gorilla, 54-56 Whitworth Street West, M1 5WW (and the last Saturday of every month), 7.30pm, £12, www.thisisgorilla.com (click on Tickets)
