On Sat 20 Apr, the award-winning outfit She Drew The Gun bring their rebellious spirit and mainstage pedigree to the iconic Victoria Baths as headliners for an evening of music, drink, food and more.

Victoria Baths’ Gala Pool

Fronted by acclaimed Wirral-born songwriter Louisa Roach, renowned for both her music and the lyrical defiance with which she transcends the conventional parameters of psych-pop to challenge injustice, She Drew The Gun perform at Victoria Baths following wildly successful sets at Glastonbury, Blue Dot and beyond, winning the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition (2016) and BBC Radio 6 Music top ten album (2018) along the way. Their headline slot at SpringFest 2024 presents an unmissable chance to catch “one of the must uniquely brilliant bands in the UK today” (Louder than War) in a wholly unique and breathtakingly intimate setting.

Supporting will be Manchester’s The Redroom, renowned for a blend of alt-indie, blues, jazz and psychedelic rock and the vocals of Jess Lewis. There will also be a special a performance by SHE Choir Mcr.

Victoria Baths’ bar will open from 7pm. On the menu will be a scrumptious array of street food from Dim Sum Su, Wholesome Junkies and Exclusive Scoop.

Make A Day of it at SpringFest 2024

The 2024 edition of SpringFest invites visitors to enjoy a wondrous day of art, music, family entertainment, building tours and irresistible indie street food in the stunning rooms of Manchester’s beloved heritage pool halls.

Guests can expect a delightfully diverse programme of live music throughout the day in the Sports Hall, formerly the Males 2nd Class pool, including infectious Latin takes on classic Britpop bangers from Guacamaya Latin Band, a jazz-funk-soul extravaganza from Amatiime, a tender solo acoustic performance from disabled transgender artist-cum-activist Dennis Queen and much, much more.

Visitors can also check out a dizzying array of art displays during SpringFest, as the beloved listed building temporarily transforms into an enormous gallery. The captivatingly eclectic selection of works on display spans textiles, paintings, contemporary art, photography and multimedia from artists like Brigitte Watkinson, Creative Design Manufacture UK, Dan Warb (After the Rain), Jessie Tam, John Merril and others, as well as the official launch of a year-long exhibition programme at Victoria Baths by Pool Arts, a collective seeking to break down long-standing barriers across the art world.
