Band on the Wall has teamed up with Brewery Arts to shape a bigger, bolder live music programme for audiences in Kendal.

The partnership will see Hannah Flynn, Programme Manager at Brewery Arts collaborate with Santana Guérout, Chief of Programming at Band on the Wall, to increase the scale and scope of the year-round schedule at the much-loved Kendal venue.

The news revives a partnership that had previously run from 2009-2020, where Band on the Wall and Brewery Arts had joined forces to present a series of major acts including John Martyn, Fat White Family, Craig Charles and Tim Burgess, to name a few.

Speaking about the team-up, Hannah said: “Partnering with Band on the Wall has provided Kendal with some incredible talent in the past and we look forward to developing this brilliant connection as we move into the future”.

The latest partnership has already secured a headline act for Brewery Arts’ summer programme, with legendary Afrobeat artist Femi Kuti performing on Fri 28 Jul.

Band on the Wall’s Santana said: “We are really excited to renew our partnership with Brewery Arts with the opportunity to bring some amazing artist to Kendal again.

“Along with the transformation of the building, we have transformed the organisation, refocusing our mission on celebrating the music of all the diverse communities of the UK.”
