Here’s a depressing fact: Pulp Fiction was released 21 years ago. You can tell it’s old because John Travolta’s character is shocked when a milkshake costs $5 (just over £3) in a restaurant. You can relive the magic of the movie, and your lost youth, next Tuesday at Band on the Wall’s film club. Pulp Fiction is perfect for a music venue, because attendees can enjoy the award-winning soundtrack through its high quality sound system. The film has no formal musical score, just deep cuts from Quentin Tarantino’s record collection, which have now become iconic, such as Kool and the Gang’s Jungle Boogie, and Dick Dale’s Misirlou. Nachos and chilli (veggie option available) are included in the ticket price, but there’s no word about milkshakes.
