If your pre-gig regime contains all the excitement of a slimline tonic and a packet of peanuts (unsalted) it may be time to exert your taste buds a little more, with the relaunch of Band on the Wall’s Picturehouse Bar this coming Thursday. Set in a Grade 2 listed building, this former cinema is located adjacent to live music staple, with more curries on offer than you can shake a cinnamon schtick at. Soul food aficionados can delight in the comforts of curry goat and masala fried fish, with traditional South Asian staples such as spicy saag aloo and daal also firmly on the menu. Alongside a wide selection of beers and music from around the globe, the Picturehouse, promises home-cooked food to mitigate even the most fierce musical hot head. With all curries 2-for-1 as part of the launch, then only £7.50 each thereafter, it seems those trousers with the stretchable waist will finally come in handy.
From Thu 22 May, The Picturehouse Bar, 25 Swan Street, M4 5JZ, Open every night from 5pm – 10pm (except Wed), Food available from 5pm – 9pm, www.bandonthewall.org
