Taking over The Bridgewater Hall for one night only as part of the Hallé’s boundary-smashing 2024-25 season, superstar vocalist Le Gateau Chocolat presents a night of spellbinding song and unapologetic Queer Black excellence with a programme spanning opera, disco, musicals and pop on Sat 19 Oct.

Performing alongside the conductor Stephen Bell and the full force of the Hallé orchestra, the bass baritone sensation invites audiences on a vibrant, sequin-speckled journey into the world of Divadom, as he performs a selection of iconic songs from across musical history in his own incomparable style.

Promising an evening of triumphant inclusivity and dazzling eclecticism to delight fans of musical theatre, opera and cabaret alike, the Bass Diva programme is set to include Gershwin’s Summertime, John Ireland’s Sea Fever, Enya’s Orinoco Flow, Robeson’s Ol’ Man River, Goldfinger, I Put A Spell On You, I Wanna Dance With SomebodyRunning Up That Hill and even Nessun Dorma.
