It’s quite the contention to be caught in the middle of. On the one hand, you can never really go wrong with a beer, but on the other you don’t need to be a cheese connoisseur to know cheese is the perfect partner for it. Thankfully it seems Soup Kitchen can’t decide either as they bring the two back together for a rematch, following a head-to-head in January last year. Continuing a series that has also included Wine vs. Cheese and Beer vs. Sausage, the Spear Street venue will host an evening of beer and cheese tasting with local ales provided by Blackjack Beers and Lancashire cheeses provided by A Taste Of Honey Delicatessen. What’s more, Blackjack will also be launching a special new beer on the night – surely not a ploy to try and edge their way to victory? Either way, get yourself down to Soup Kitchen, enjoy the finest local beer and cheese and decide your winner.
