Bench’s Lunch Time Live is back with its first gig of 2013. Having already featured performances from the likes of Jessie Rose, The Naughtys and Frazer King, this Saturday sees the series return with an acoustic set by hotly tipped Manchester quartet The Quangos. The band, whose next single ‘You Don’t Know My Name’ is released on iTunes next week, are an eclectic mix of 1960s rock and soul – listing Otis Redding, Ray Charles and The Beatles as influences. Their following isn’t too shabby either: they already have fans in Miles Kane, Fred Perry and Bez from the Happy Mondays. Playing the session ahead of a headline slot at Academy 3 next week, The Quangos are set for even greater things this year. Take this opportunity to check them out for free in the settings of their new video at the Bench Self Made Gallery.
