A five minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, Rogue Artists Studios is the largest independent studio complex in the North West. With 97 artists working in 30,000 square feet of space Rogue is home to a diverse mix of practitioners, including artists Dave Griffiths whose current exhibition, Babel Fiche, can be seen at Castlefield Gallery and Hilary Jack who recently participated in the Tatton Park Biennial. Alongside established practitioners the studios are also home to recent graduates and the city’s emerging artistic talent, including the likes of Tanesha Ahmed, Daniel Fogarty and Lindsey Bull. Once a year this lively building opens its doors in an open studio extravaganza. The Open Weekend invites fellow artists, curators and the general public to access all areas of the studios, with Rogue artists exhibiting and offering their work for sale. The studio complex is also home to a project space, currently curated by Ahmed and Carpenter, where a series of events and exhibitions are developed throughout the year. For the open weekend, this space is taking a lead, hosting Fayre, a group show of studio members work on the theme of the market.
