Dark Hearts of Space, a new multi-media show at the Lowry, uses music and visuals to evoke the feeling of flying into a black hole. Berlin-based DJ and techno producer Dasha Rush will be using electronic experimentation and synthesisers to create the music. A well-respected touring performer, Rush is also known for her collaborations with artists and dancers. Helping her out with this performance is the Russian-born videographer and visual artist Stanislov Glazov. Using a layered screen, he will create effects representing the gravitational and electromagnetic radiation you would experience as you are pulled into the oblivion. A breakout hit at the MUTEK festival in Canada, Dark Hearts of Space is coming our way for one night only.
